To Members of the Bloomsburg Wrestling Community,

During the past year and 2024-25 wrestling season a new era began at Bloomsburg University Wrestling under the direction of Head Coach John Stutzman. Many changes were made to get Bloomsburg Wrestling to where we are today including renaming the wrestling room after legendary coaches Russ Houk and Roger Sanders. The renaming effort generated over $500,000 for immediate use scholarship dollars as well as two new wrestling mats for the practice room and much needed room renovations. Also included in the changes were additional coaches and 37 new recruits for the 2025-26 season. As a wrestling community it is exciting to support the effort to #RestoreTheGlory at Bloomsburg.

As President of the HEWC, it is my pleasure to again ask for your help with the promotion of our 11 ^th annual HEWC-Bloomsburg Wrestling Golf Outing as part of our #RestoreTheGlory community effort.

Attached you will find information to “save the date”, “register your foursome”, “sponsorship opportunities”, and “the naming ceremony”. The HEWC will be honoring our previous 17 NCAA D-1 All-Americans with hole signs on the T-Box of the first 17 holes. If you would like to support those AA’s with a sign of your own as a tribute to your teammate, please use the appropriate form.

The HEWC will also host a “Meet the 2025-26 Team” on Friday evening. This event is open to everyone, and we are anticipating a large turnout. There will be music and food! Also, on Friday night there will be an opportunity to bid on Bloomsburg wrestling memorabilia as well as other items related to wrestling. This will be an opportunity for our alumni and fans to really show our support to the 2025-26 team that we are here for them as we support their effort to #RestoreTheGlory!

The HEWC has blocked off a group of rooms for the weekend of September 5-7 at the Holiday Inn Express in Buckhorn. Please use “BU wrestling” as the code to reserve your room. Rate is $159/night.
